Jack’s gone through the change!!!!

It’s done! The tube has been changed.

We got there, and Jack and Ella played in the waiting room (Alissa had to go with me to be my photo journalist so I wouldn’t forget how to do it the next time—’cause now I can do it at home by myself. Scary, right???). Then, they called us back and we got his weight and measurements. His head grew a teeny tiny bit and he put on a few ounces. Of course, he hasn’t pooped in a few days, so………

Anyhow, then Dr. R came in and he was like–here you go, I’ll walk you through it. I was thinking that I would get to watch and then do it later or something, but he made me do it. I tried so hard to not shake and to be strong…but inside I was totally freaking out! So I got the old tube out, and we all said “ewwwwww” and he said, “Hurry up and put the new one in!” So I did.

Jack was the hero though. He never cried or even really moved. I think he was a little confused as to why I was doing this.

So then it was all over…and Alissa and I were contemplating throwing up. I am still shaking, and I keep thinking “oh my gosh, I shouldn’t be having to do this to my own kid!” But it saves us $$$ and time. Guess it’s good to have that ol’ license!!!

Thanks for your prayers! Love to all!
